Just Some Fancy Books – Instagram

If you are on Instagram, you should take a look at something called #circleofbookishfriends

It’s booky-thing (of course) where you get a prompt like “Favorite author” or “Women Wednesday”. The posts are, more often than not, Stephen King or horror-related, as the people who started the Circle of Bookish Friends (I think it was mother.horror) are serious Stephen King fans.

Anyway. Here’s my most liked Instagram post of the last weeks.

Today's #circleofbookishfriends is something very close to my heart. I really, really like fantasy, especially the dark, modern stuff. So #fantasyFriday was easy. Mièville is awesome. I picked his Railsea because that is a signed copy. Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell is, for lack of a better word, magical. Finch is so dark and twisted I'm surprised the book doesn't ooze. American Gods because Gaiman and that cover. The Apex Book of World SF4 because I've always loved short stories and STILL can't believe I have a story in that. And finally, the latest Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy. I buy soooo many short story collections (am especially fond of @undertow_books 's stuff, not pictured). #books #bookstagram #instabooks #Gaiman #shortStories #fantasy #riotgrams #grimdragon

Ok, I lied.

The most liked Instagram post of the last weeks is this one, of my enjoying a refreshing beverage.
